iq450 battery Installation Configuration

The iq450 battery pack is no longer being manufactured and/Or imported. We have however found a battery that fits the scooter with 90% Of the range ( you loose approximately 5 minutes of run time).

the original batteries consisted of 2 long batteries, stacked one beside the other, that were straped together 2 per pack. our solution places two batteries top to bottom wedged into the same space and also requires 2 individual batteries.
You will need to figure out how to support the second battery using the above images as a guide. This does work, we have done it.

Notes:
• You will need to keep the old battery connectors if you still want to use the original ports .
• the batteries listed below are a VERY tight fit but will work ( note - you will loose the option of easily removing them for external charging).
• Your old batteries went in lengthwise, the new batteries are a different shape and will need to be stacked. Each battery terminal end (battery top) faces either forward or back.
• the batteries are wired in series. You will need to carefully duplicate the existing wiring on your new pack.
• make sure the battery terminals will not short on each other or on the battery box.
• The original battery charger and charge port are suitable to be used with the new batteries.
